Calling all train and railway subject matter experts!
Talgo are looking for innovators who have ready to market solutions in train luggage security.
Passengers travelling with luggage usually feel uncomfortable about leaving their belongings unattended. Therefore, Talgo is interested in finding a solution installed at train level (since Talgo doesn’t interact with the passenger but with the train operator only) that could prevent luggage theft and keep the passengers informed about any change in their luggage status.
How would you go about solving this challenge?

You then link this scale to Rainbird which records the initial weight (and ongoing weight) of the luggage along with all the other factors that might effect ones luggage over the course of the journey:
- Train speed
- Train journey
- Number of stops
- Destination
Any change in luggage weight that is not inline with the factors considered would then be flagged on the customers App (Or sent via email) to notify them of potential theft.
This could even be taken a step further and could be linked up to the onboard camera system which the customer could view from their cabin to approve or decline the notification.
